Am just venting as finding bf so hard now. DS is not keen on solids at all and is such an active baby. He must be burning through the calories, he is crawling everywhere!

Have ebf the whole time and started weaning at 26 weeks, he is eating some but is not too keen. However although he is not keen on food he is similarly not keen on bf (during the day that is, as he is too busy doing other things!) and makes up for this at night.

Have got the formula ready for his next feed and I have my fingers crossed he takes it. If he doesn't I am prepared to start arranging for DH to be at home alone with him to get him started. I only hope that I can continue bf partially as I would still like for him to get immunity benefits as he has been so healthy (has only ever had 1 minor cold) something I think bf definitely helped with.

One side benefit is that the pounds are finally coming off me, I had thought that the whole 'bf helps you lose weight' was a myth for me, but it seems (that for me anyway), if you stick with it long enough for the feedings to increase once the babies get older, you will actually start to lose weight, it is like he is draining all the fat reserves! What do you want to do? I'm not clear. You can stop, do both, do all bf, express...

Sorry, was just venting and sharing my experiences as I have found reading about other peoples experiences on here very helpful, as I don't get to hear about peoples bf experiences in real life. So I thought I would just share my own experience.

Since you asked though, I am moving to mix feeding and then as he grows older he wont be needing milk feeds anymore at all.
