Well DS (16m) doesnt actually feed to sleep, but he feeds then goes to sleep, so it's cuddled in and sleepy feeding. He's been feeding with me on my side, but now I am 32w pregnant, this is incredibly uncomfortable for my back (and that's without mentioning my nipples. Dear god, the pain!!!) plus he kicks as he starts dropping off and is kicking me in the bump.

I want stay lying down if possible, as he knows its sleeptime then...

Does anyone have any ideas?

How are you comfortable lying down? Which position are you comfy in?

I can lie on my side so long as my top leg is stretched out in front of me and my lower leg quite far behind me (like I'm running?). If I try this with DS, he pushes his feet on my leg while still attached to the boob!! Ouch!!

Can you rotate him so his legs are up at the pillow end? My dd often twisted right round of her own accord. You would probably need to adjust the pillow. Ouch! I have memories of what you describe....I'm sure my nipple was stretched to about 3 inches at times!! La Leche League would be a good source of help and info. Best of luck with your new baby. Are you going to tandem feed? My dd still remembers having to have the "sitting up feed" so baby could have the "lying down feed!" if I was lying on my side.

Grin I'll try that tonight! Reckon I might end up with a broken nose then though!

Every feed I think "right, this is it, I can't take any more, he has to be weaned", but luckily each feed is one closer to me not being pregnant any more!!

And yep, I'm planning on tandeming :)
