I am at the 3 months mark. Still no periods so I haven't been using anything...but I really do not want another baby so I have to sort something out asap.

I am most likely going to use the mini pill..but I keep reading about bad side effects and I really am sceptical about the hormones not affecting the baby..

Condoms? yuck, what a faff..and I am worried we might forget... Coil? Again I have heard mixed reviews...
Please share your experiences good and bad.

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged, you're welcome. I have not yet found the time or the energy, and I have yet to find my fanny (since childbirth). I know it must be down there somewhere but I fear it's now different.

thank you so much for sharing all this. I find it really upsetting that the information given by the doctors is that all these options are great but then when I ask around lots of people have problems with them.

I'm on Cerazette and as someone who gets pregnant just by looking at my husband it works well. I got pregnant with DC2 just using condoms so do not recommend as the only contraception. Also only had one period since having my last (17 months old) and still bfing.

mamaesi just realised you have said you haven't used any protection the past 3 months- you do realise if you have been having unprotected sex you could already be pregnant?! Definitely test before you start whatever contraception you choose (other then condoms!). I had no period between my first two and there are just under 12 months between them.

I'm taking Noriday mini pill and working really well for me so far but only a 2 hour slot to take it in so I have an alarm on my phone to remind me.

mamaesi · 11/02/2012 23:27

oh god fluffy please don't say that. I am sure I would know if I was pregnant...but you are right I will test first, just to be sure.

no sides effects from cerazette? aren't you guys concerns with hormones going into the milk?
