I was out with a friend today who is a bit worried. She nursed her daughter for about a year, gradually decreasing the frequency as solids were introduced. She had got down to one night feed every 24 hours, and stopped nursing completely in October. However, she is still producing milk! What could be causing it? Should she be worried? Can she do anything to stop it? BTW, she's not pregnant again....

I stopped expressing when DS was 8 weeks and now at 13 months still have a teensy bit of milk if I squeeze.

Thats a combination of curiosity mixed with supply and demand I suppose!

isn't it true that once you have produced milk you can restart the supply at any time? Correct me if I am wrong.
