Just returned to work and 13 month DD wants to bf continuously

Hi, I've just returned (2 weeks now), 3 days per week. DD with local childminder and seems mostly happy and getting on well given that its early days, but on the other 4 days when she is with me she just wants to jump on and off boob continuously - every half hour or so (and more overnight too). I'm starting to struggle with that - honestly its more than the newborn phase! Sometimes I try to offer her bits of food she likes instead (then she's grazing all day rather than eating meals). I've also tried distraction but this doesn't usually work. Getting her out in the buggy helps a bit, but as soon as I let her out somewhere she's after me again! [I don't think she looks at my face anymore!] Obviously, its separation anxiety but any tips on how too soothe her without bf? I feel so bad for returning at the moment as she is very clingy generally, though again not obviously unhappy. I don't want to withdraw in any way so I cuddle, single, read to her as much as I can but this does not distract her from what she wants!

Thanks

To be honist best thing is to go the other way, offer as much as possible, she just after the closenest and reasuraces. The more you give it the more secure she'll feel and they quiker it should settle down.

Sounds normal to me (if annoying!), it should calm down though when she gets used to the days with the CM. Echo what MigGril says about the not putting your DD off and offering as much as you can to give her reassurance that you are still there for her.
