EBM smells funny, ok to give baby?

So I've started to use up my freezer stores of EBM, and have been defrosting it overnight like you're supposed to, but most of it smells a bit funny, like a bit soapy? DS hasn't objected to it tho so I've been continuing to use it... Do you think this is ok? Is it normal for Defrosted ebm to smell different to how it did when it was fresh?

It may be an excess of the enzyme Lipase (it digests the fat in BM for the baby as babies don't produce it until they are older [unsure of exact age]).

It's fine to use if baby doesn't mind, but it he does or you want to prevent it happening with future EBM you can scald the milk just before freezing.

Lots of info on Kellymom here.

I had this. Tasted it and it had gone off! I could've cried as there was loads. Mine doesn't keep in the fridge, I have to freeze it.

It smelt like baby sick and tasted really sour.
