Do I need to give mix fed Ds vitamin supplements?

Ds is 7 months old and has (on average) 4 x 5oz bottles of formula + breast feeds (atleast 5 a day but sometimes more usually last about 20 mins) he is also having 3 meals a day + snacks, he will not take food off a spoon so usually just has what we have lots of veg, potatoes, pasta, meat (but not keen on this so doesn't eat much). I know if he was not having the formula I would be advised to give him vitamin supplements but if he is having approx 20oz of formula a day does he still need them? Hv did not seem to have a clue when I asked her.
Also do you think he is having too much milk? He is following his growth line perfectly and although he is quite big he is not huge. Quite a few of my friends had babies at around the same time and he is having much more milk than any of the others.

I never gave DS vitamin supplements and he was just breastfed (no formula) and barely ate until he was 22 months either... he is fine now. (he is 3) Not sure how helpful that is though!
