10 week old ebf baby gagging at latch

hi ladies, can anyone help? As innthe header, ds is 10 weeks and ebf. He has reflux, on Zantac which is helping (but he hates) and is on 91st centile weight wise.

Over last week or 2 he has started gagging when I go to latch him on. I do sometimes have forceful letdown but on these occasions there isn't any milk coming out, or just wee drips when this happens.

It is v distressing for both of us. Anyone any experience or advice please?

Have you had him checked over by the gp? If yes then try changing position with him. Try rugby ball (under the arm). Possible milk is shooting down his throat and by having him the other way around it shouldn't make it all the way to the back of his throat. Hope it helps.

Thanks for reply!

Going to gp this afternoon (different issue, yellowstuff in vomit this am poor wee man), so getting checked out soon. Usually feed in rugby hold and/or cradle hold and in happens in each :( hence why so puzzled...
