I wil be discussing breastfeeding with my class tomorrow and as wondering if anyone knows of a good video I could show them - I hav googled but most seem to be about technique rahter than info, pros and cons etc. Does anyone know of one that might be suitable for a bumch of 14 and 15yo?

Well. I think I understand what you're looking for and I'm not sure that the above is right at all, however it's bloody powerful (I think) and would be a great start to a discussion with teenagers who are pretty open to this type of presentation, I should think.

Of course it's focusing on formula promotion rather than breastfeeding, but it's all tied up together - rather depends on the angle you want.

If it's a social discussion, this might be useful. If it's biology then it's part of pointing out that other baby animals drink the milk of their own species, only we drink another species' milk.

You'd have to know about Baby Milk Action's work to be able to pull it off, I'd expect.

I don't really know of any other "pros and cons" video. Most are made to support women to BF so are, as you say, positioning etc. Others are pure BFing promotion so will have no discussions of "cons", which are pretty difficult to put across to teenagers anyway as they will struggle to properly understand some of the difficulties that people might consider to be "cons".

I don't know if this is any use, anyway, but I thought I'd throw it out there as the only thing I could think of :)

Thanks Carrot, I'll take a look. It's for a child development lesson. My class are very open so discussion is good. I bf myself twice, for 10 months but I like to give them other people's perspectives too!
