Are your feet supposed to tingle when feeding?

...or is my body a bit strange? Every time I feed DD, I get a sort of fuzzy tingle in my abdomen, down one leg (same side as she is feeding from) and in my foot.

Everyone I have mentioned this to in real life has looked at me like Hmm. Please tell me I'm not wierd.....Smile

Sorry same thing Grin

I have heard of a mother getting tingling in her arms on feeding but I don't know the mechanism behind it.

ShowOfHands · 19/12/2011 14:39

I only get this when ds, tank that he is, squashes the leg he's resting on and compromises the blood supply to my leg/foot. Grin Shift him a bit and it goes away.

Jeez SOH - how heavy is he?? I don't get that with DD2 and she's 17kg (though to be fair she doesn't feed for very long and I have 'padded' legs!)

CuppaTeaJanice · 19/12/2011 21:13

I get it in all positions so I don't think she's cutting off my blood supply (would a 10lb newbie be capable of that anyway?)

I figured it might be something to do with whatever bodily functions reflexologists deal with - where they rub your feet to cure a different part of your body. Only in reverse obviously......Confused

Looks like Nevercan and I are just a bit strange then!!!! Grin
