I have no prob breastfeeding in public but DD seems to have a problem with it! I went to a house of an aquaintance yesterday, and there were a few toddlers making noise, DD wouldn't BF as every time she tried one of the toddlers would shout or scream, we had to make a rapid exit! There have been other times like this when she just won't eat in public and some where she is totally fine, was feeling a bit uptight this morning, so was she picking up on my vibe or something? I feel like I'll have to be imprisoned in my house now, is anyone else's baby sensitive like this? how do you survive?

How old is your LO? Mine became very noisy at around 5mo. She will only feed enthusiastically at a quiet place or when very hungry. I think you can either not feed as often (I stretch to 4-5 hours when out. DD obviously too busy to demand) or use a bf room or a quiet corner of a cafe. At a friends place you can ask to use a different room too. Obviously at 5mo+ DD is feeding 3-5min only so it's quite easy to do on the floor of the dining room or the guest bedroom.

My lo is the same. He gets too distracted. I find if I can get him to sleep then latch him on he'll feed really well.
