second hand ameda lactaline personal double pump ?need new parts

I bought a second hand double lactaline pump at a nearly new sale recently in preparation for my return to work (part time, I want to try to continue breast feeding). Any ideas mumsnetters whether I need to buy new bits (flange, valve, tubes etc) to go with it before I start using it or should I just sterilise what came with it. Don't want to risk catching anything/infecting my ds from previous user. Lactaline claim to have closed system so milk doesn't go into tube like it does with medula etc. If I do need to buy can anyone recommend a site to get the parts cheaper? I've just looked on line and I'm feeling that I should have just got a new one. Thank you in advance!

I would buy new tubes and the valves may be a bit knackered but Milton and boiling the rest should sort it.

It is a closed system so the machine itself will be fine.

I agree with fraktious. I have certainly used a second hand ameda, and would again. They are a closed system. I'm fairly sure if you look on ebay you'll find sealed hygiene packs for sale (the flange, valves, tubes etc) if you want to be really sure, but I just miltoned.

I just sterilised, but you can buy parts online if you'd rather.
