Are you breastfeeding? Have your periods returned?

suzi2 · 07/01/2006 21:34

I'm breastfeeding. Periods have not returned. However, at the moment I feel like it's due but also my milk production has increased loads. I'm leaking everywhere and expressing well (not like normal!). I just wondered if the pre period feeling and increased milk were linked.

I found that expressing made me produce more milk.

My periods didnt return until ds was 9 months old and only having a boob at 6pm.And by then my milk supply was very low.

Sorry,not helping much

Just had a thought, when some women are due they have larger boobs,so maybe the link is there!!

Or maybe you are eating well, sleeping well, relaxed and your breasts are being very happy and efficient!

lol at happy and efficient breasts

I've always expressed once a day. But now, in the last three days I've become really milky. perhaps DS has just upped my supply. I quite enjoy having this surplus!

I use to call my ds booby boy! Are you freezing any excess?

suzi2 · 07/01/2006 23:34

Oh yes I'm freezing the excess! It's such a rarity to have extra - I'm very protective of it! my mum keeps saying "give him to me and give me a couple of bags of frozen milk for him" and I'm like "NOOOOO" "can't have my milk!" "it took me ages to get that!". Must use it at some point... digressing somewhat here... must be the wine...
