I am 31 weeks pg and plan to bf but also express too, bf did not work when I had my dd for a number of reasons, and would like to pump to maintain supply as well. I am on a bit of a budget what is the best electric breast pump. I saw an Ameda lactaline one in Boots, are they better than the Medela swing? Would appreciate any help

The spectra 3 - it's the cheapest hospital grade pump. I had a tommee tippee before it and it packed in within 2 weeks of daily expressing.

I have used mine twice daily for the last 3 months, and its still very powerful.

My only warning is that it can be quite strong for untrained nipples! dial it up very slowly (milimetres at a time) as the suction becomes strong very quickly. Do read the amazon reviews. The seller is anawiz, which has a website with accessories for the pump.
