Fussy bfing during my period?

My periods returned 3 months ago and I've noticed that 13mo DS is refusing and biting during the first couple of days of my period. Anyone else or am I/DS just weird?

Secondly will my supply be ok if he doesn't bf for a couple of days each month?

I know supply often dips around ovulation, so maybe this is something similar?
