I am planning going away for a weekend with my best friend when ds2 will be 14 months. I am really looking forward to the break, it's been a really tough year. Problem is ds2 is still feeding to sleep. Daytime naps aren't a problem but nighttime I'm not sure how to break the habit. Ideally I'd like to carry on feeding until he self weans but just need to deal with this weekend. He drinks from a cup really well and Ive started giving him a cup with his story after bath but then he just looks for the boob and crashes out after 5 minutes any ideas gratefully received

i've tried putting his night feed earlier on in the bedtime routine, so:

dinner
feed
play
bath
stories
bed

doesn't always work, but might be somewhere to start from. i also try and put him down when he's still awake.

Thanks, I'll try anything. He is awake when he goes down but very dozy. When he has a cup he is happy to drink it but when the light goes out he most definitely wants a boob.
