Want to stop dream feed at 12 months - routine fans, please help!

Hi my son is just over 12 months and we have successfully followed a routine which was 7, 2.30, 7 and 10.30pm bottle feeds. Having weaned him off the 10.30 feed at 9/10 months when he was eating 3 good meals a day, we've actually had to reintroduce as his eating just went downhill as he got more independent and refused to be spoon fed. I've been relaxed doing this as it gets him through until 7am or gone 7am, he's still hungry at that time and everyone's happy. All that said, his eating could be better - he's pretty picky - and I wonder if I'm just making everything worse. My other half wants to go cold turkey and just stop feeding him in the night but that doesn't sit well with me knowing he could genuinely be hungry. I don't want to be up in the middle of the night as I'm 5 months pregnant but I do want to stop these late feeds before the new baby comes!

any advice/experience would be great.

Thanks

you could try making the feed progressively smaller and he should make up the lost calories in the day.
