4 month old EBF baby dozing off after almost every feed...

...is this normal and okay? Forgive me if this is a dumb first-time mum question... He's 4 months old this week and weighs 16lb 8oz.

The little man doesn't like to be put down for naps but mostly only manages catnaps during the day. I've tried to get him sleeping longer and not on me, with a small amount of success - am hoping at some stage he will realise that he is getting too big to get comfy on me and prefer his cot...(!)

I read on Mumsnet somewhere that before 6 months babies will stop falling asleep after every feed - is that the case?

Sounds normal to me! :)
I had same with DC1 but she would eventually sleep in pushchair (although I had to go for longer and longer walks as she got older).
DC2 - I just put him down and leave him, unless he sounds really unhappy. He often sleeps even when I think he won't!
Good luck and enjoy your beautiful baby!
