Hi all - quick qu and thought it might be quicker to get the answer here than look it up elsewhere...that's the challenge! DD2 is now one and am ready to stop BF over the next few weeks and start giving her cow's milk (getting very excited by the thought of binning my manky feeding bras in a month or so). I remember DD1 having huge bottles of milk at this stage (she similarly BF for a year and then switched) but can't remember how much. How much milk do you give a one yo? She has 4(ish) milk feeds a day at the mo
TIA

It's funny how quickly you forget these things?

from the age of one the recomended amount is 12oz a day and that can include cheese, yog etc :)

20oz is the amount up to the age of one, from 6mths and alongside a balanced diet etc :)

Thanks, 9oz sounds familiar for bedtime. Will start with that and smaller bottles in the day. She is a boob monster so this change will not be popular, I am ready for it though!

My ds would only have about 3oz of cow's milk at a time when I switch - I guess because that's how much a breastfeed would be, he wasn't used to taking large quantities of milk per feed? I went straight to non-spill tommee tippee cups as didn't want to wean him off bottles later too (and of course for his teeth).

He was on 4 feeds a day too, so replaced them with 4 cups - initially of 3-4oz each. He's 15 months now and have cut down to two 5oz cups, plus milk in cereal, cheese and yoghurt.
