How long can I not feed my baby for before I leak or explode!

I'm still BF my 7 month DS but need to go into work for 1 day next week. He is happy to take a bottle from someone else so that is not a problem but I am wondering about me!

I have missed 1 feed before and not been too uncomfortable, but this would be 2. I have never leaked so not sure if I have armour plated boobs and would be OK not BF for about 9 hours during the day. I have gone this long at night before but don't know if I produce more milk during the day....well thinking about it I must do!

I can't really express whilst at work as my pump is embarrassingly loud and not sure where I would go. Also it's electric so no where to plug it inif I sit on the loo!

Thanks

missing a day wont affect your supply due to age of baby but for your own comfort can you practice hand expressing just a bit to take the edge off if you need to whilst you are out? also i would wear pads because you may start to leak even if you usually don't especially if you get really full. does your electric pump take batteries? you may find if you are busy and not thinking much about baby you will be ok but you will find as soon as someone asks about him then you may get let down and leak (wear pads) good luck!

You may find you have no problem at all. I never leaked or got uncomfortably full, even if I missed the occasional feed when my baby was the age of yours.

I would practise hand expressing, and wear breast pads. You will most likely be fine, but you can always hand express a little off just to relieve the pressure if you get really uncomfortable!
