9mo has gone off bed time milk - do I need to worry?

Just wondered if anyone had had a similar experience... My 9mo DD has always fed well, especially since starting solids has never refused anything I've given her.
Last week she contracted a viral infection with a fever, vomiting and point blank refused food for nearly 5 days. She's back to herself again now and all's well, but she's really gone off milk all of a sudden!
She eats breakfast and a good sized lunch but then come dinner time she just doesn't want to know. Doesn't want any solids and then for her pre-bed bottle (which she usually guzzles 7oz), she takes about 2oz and then completely freaks out if I try to get the bottle anywhere near her.
She's sleeping okay still and goes through until morning but I just wondered whether this was an overhang of the virus, maybe teething (no teeth have a appeared yet), or simply just a phase??

And should I worry that she's only taking half of her usual milk intake per day (prob only about 12oz max)?

It's my instinct that it's probably just a fussy phase but I just thought I'd see if anyone had had anything similar happen to them...

mummy it could be that she is still feeling rough. Have you checked her throat to see if it's red or her mouth to see if her gums are sore?

Until she is one her main source of nutrition should be the milk, so I would give her a bottle an hour before solids, she may take more milk if she is hungry. Once she is 12 months you can start offering the milk after solids.

I'd keep offering the bedtime bottle each night, she may change her mind again in a few days.

i would check the throat as well. she might be in pain and only take the minimum necessary. take her to the doctor. it doesn't sound normal for a baby to go off milk so young. you never know and all babies are different, but in such a case it is always worth checking with the doctor. both times it happened with my DD it turned out she had a sore throat and sucking hurt her.

Actually now I've read sanam's post I would take her to the GP too and get them to check her ears as well as her throat. When DD was like this it was an ear infection.

Thanks guys - she did have a full check over on Sunday when we took her to the out of hours doc with her vomiting and he was happy with her ears and throat.

I may take her back though if it doesn't change soon and get a second opinion. It could just be teething - she hasn't had any come through yet but I'm thinking at 9 months a protrusion is imminent...
I'll try feeding her before solids tonight JJJ and see if that works - another thing I thought was that she might just be too tired to feed so maybe an earlier bottle would do the trick.

Hi mc - do you have an update at all? I'm currently experiencing the same problem with my 9mo ds, and don't know whether to take him to the GP?
