Is Amoyxcillin ok when breastfeeding?

got some for my ear infection, but is it ok to take? GP asked if i was on the pill(hmmm yeah ok,lol), but that was all, didnt ask if i was still breastfeeding. andi forgot to ask.

It's fine for babies to take direct, so yes.

Antibiotics safe to take during lactation

The following antibiotics are all safe to take whilst breastfeeding;

Amoxycillin, Amoxil 250-500mg three times a day

You might find that the baby gets a touch of diarrhoea but otherwise it's OK.

cheers. actually dd3 had her first course of anti biotics the other week so why am i worrying lol.
