so the gash has healed. i've put baby back on it.

i'd pumped off it b/c the milk came in and it was engorged. i noticed it didn't produce as much as other boob tho.

she feeds off it for about 5 minutes and then drops off, stick her on other boob, she nurses away.

what gives? she cries if i put her back on that boob.

Keep going expat, you're doing fine. I've just got over a blocked milk duct on one side and noticed that it isn't producing as much as the other side as yet - but keep putting her to it and the sucking will encourage it to recover its supply.

Can I just say I am really impressed with how you are doing

I always made more milk from one boob than the other, I think it's pretty normal even at the best of times. Perhaps dd is dropping off because she's got used to only feeding from the one side? Given time she'll get used to it again and the supply will catch up.
