Hi all,
Am hoping for some pointers re bottle Vs cup feeding for my DS. I struggled to ensure he would take a bottle on the advice of friends who'd faced the bottle refusal later on & for a while my DH gave him expressed milk for his last evening feed so I could get some kip. Nowadays, it is very rare that there is any need to give him a bottle as I'm to lazy to faff around with sterilisers and pumps I'm rarely away from him & have managed to settle into a pattern whereby DH prepares our dinner while I give the bedtime feed (feeding to sleep..yes, I know..but I love my rod!). However, now he's getting a bit older I'm hoping to leave DS with his grandparents for a couple of hours so I can have some me time. He currently uses a Tommy Tippee Closer to Nature bottle (vari-flow teat) & takes a full feed but only takes the milk if it is pretty warm. He is such a slow drinker from the bottle that often it cools too much so have started splitting it over two (as wasn't sure about re-heating already warmed milk?) otherwise he wont take the cooled stuff.
So! Am wondering if should persevere with the bottles or move to a cup? Since he'll be moved to a cup soon anyways? Are there benefits to a cup? And are there any you'd recommend?
Thanks for listening to my ramblings!
