Do I really need to buy 6month plus teats or can I make a hole in the 3 month ones?!

my mum reckons I can make a hole with a red hot needle through a teat with 3 holes to make it 4 holes, instead of buying a new set. Has anyone else done this?

Tried this but it didn't work very well Sad

Buy a new set. They need regular replacing any way and a homemade hole will be too big and tear very quickly. Boots are doing three for two on own brand teats at the moment (have put a Boots wide neck in Advent bottle and is fine). There are other bits in the range too if you don't want to get three lots of teats.

It's what our parents did. :)

My 9mo is still using newborn teats (i have replaced them since birth) and quite happy in fact vets a bit distressed using other bottles where milk comes out faster
