I don't remember this happening with DD1 but DD2, when she possets (which isn't very often) most of it projectiles out of her nose.

Is this ok?

My dd did that for a while when she posseted a lot. She'd start being sick then it seemed to get a bit much and it streamed out of her nose too. It meant she got really scared because she couldn't breathe for a couple of seconds and I had to be careful to wipe it up quickly otherwise she'd get herself really stressed but apart from that it never did her any harm. She grew out of it at about 3 months. The only major difference it made was that I refused to leave her alone for long until an hour or so after her feed to make sure she wouldn't possett and not be able to breathe. I'm sure that wouldn't actually happen, but I just worried myself about it!

I've been watching her like a hawk too...glad to hear your DD grew out of it

Yeah it just suddenly stopped one day, now her trick is to ignore the fact that she needs to burp until it comes up anyway and makes her give out a huge gurling/choking/hacking/wheezing (don't know how to describe it!) sound for a few seconds, then go back to normal!

Pie, this is happening with ds2, it never happened with ds1 and it is really worrying, but reading this thread has helped - thanks

My 2 too. Looks scarey (especially when they've started on solids and multicoloured gunk squirts out of their noses!) but it's ok. Doesn't seem to harm them at all, and once fully onto solids it rarely happens any more.
