3 week old vomiting mucous. Related to breast milk?

My 3 week old is breastfeeding very well. I am a little rusty with the whole thing mind you so have been an a bit concerned that she has been bringing up a brown mucous when she vomits milk, this isnt at every feed.

A few people have suggested that it could been down to something i have eaten upsetting her.

I have made a doctors appointment but its not for a couple of days.
Could it be a cause for concern?

hmmm brown mucous would concern me a bit i think yes.

has she always done it?
how are you finding breastfeeding? painful? cracked nipples at all?

Did she swallow a lot of blood during delivery or meconium pre-birth?

Has she got any other symptoms/things that you are worried about? Has she been doing this since birth or is it a recent development?

Is there a Paed A&E (or just a walk-in centre) near by that you could pop along to just for some reassurance and a proper check over?

Hi thanks for the replies. It is a recent development. Birth was straight forward and no feeding problems, nipples have been fine etc.

I have managed to get the appointment bought forward for the morning.

How did it go? Hope there was an easy explanation.

Mmm dr just put it down to newborn mucous after listening to her chest and saying it was clear.

Just got to go back if it continues

Glad it was nothing worrying (well just about everything to do with babies is worrying but YKMIW!). Fingers crossed she stops doing it very soon.
