I have been breastfeeding for a year today

My baby is one year old today and we're still going strong with breastfeeding - I'm so happy that we made it after all the problems we had getting started at the beginning. I got lots of great help and support from this board - many thanks.

I always say the first birthday should be a celebration for the MOTHER! (OK, maybe Dad can get a look in too..)

I always say that too, mamsnet - the baby couldn't care less if it's their birthday! I'm going to try to get a babysitter and go out for dinner with DH later in the week, I think we need to celebrate having survived the first year!
