Breast fed 2 week old slightly greenish poo AND bleeding cord stump - worrying or not?

I don't really have anyone to ask in real life so I can see me asking lots of silly worried questions on here over the next few weeks!

My DD has a slight green tinge to her normally yellow poo today - should I worry? She seems ok otherwise..

ALSO, her umbilical cord stump (which hasn't dropped off as I had antibiotics in labour due to Group B Strep) is bleeding today - should I worry?

I have had both. Sounds quite normal. DDs poo has been all sorts of interesting colours. Also the stump bled but only for a couple of days. Was told by HV not to worry. It dried up and was fine.

I'd check it out with HV as long as she seems ok in herself.if she seems poorly, GP.

Could be nothing to worry about.

I've had both too. Midwives and HV kept telling me it was nothing to worry about. However, cord stump got infected, so is being treated. Call your HV if you're worried, but the occasional green poo is fine.

Thank you! I just worry about everything...

Could it wait until HV visit tomorrow?

I think the odd green poo as an occasional thing is nothing too much to worry about.

If it were me, I would be tempted to double check about the stump cord with the HV. It may be that it's just got pulled by her nappy or knocked somehow, they might say it's nothing to worry about or they might want to take a look, but at least you'll know.

DD's lingered on for weeks too and got quite manky before it finally gave up the ghost.

OK so no more green poo, but I'll check with the health visitor today - and her cord dropped off overnight, so the bleeding must have been it just loosening!
