Is it possible to breastfeed AND have a decent supportive bra for Christmas Cleavage?

Really, I can't face Christmas with my breasts around my waist AND carrying all this extra pregnancy weight. My Wonderbras barely fit around my ankle and underwiring gave me mastitis the one time I DARED to wear it a couple of years ago. Is there a nursing bra which will give me some cleavage? Or should I just lock myself away in a dark room for the next few months?

I have no helpful advice whatsoever but just wanted to tell you the title of this thread is fabulous and EXACTLY why I love MN !!!!

Can't help, but I do sympathise. My tits can be tied in a knot behind my back after bfing for nearly a year, and nursing bras make me look like I am waering a hideously lumpy belt.

I have worn underwiring though since having DS. I would recommend you get measured properly, and get some underwiring that doesn't sit on the breast tissue (it shouldn't anyway)

i hate my feeding bras. especially the one which was previously white & is now dirty grey. i have drawers full of gorgeous lacy underwired numbers & i want to wear them. sob. sorry mp, this isn't helping you is it...

i went to a specialist bra shop for my wedding (dd was 8 months) have to say i had a really painful lump days leading up to and during my wedding but hell it was worth it. i look back at my weddin pictures and i don't look like a wet nurse (shallow? yes). moral is get one that fits adn don't wear it for too long.

Get yourself to M&S girl, and go get a bra that fits. Wearing a pre preg bra is just storing up trouble for yourself!!!

SoupDragon · 19/11/2005 20:36

Have a look at Figleaves They even have some underwired nursing bras...

Blooming Marvelous has an underwired feeding bra for around £30.

If you are of the larger chested variety , try www.bravissimo.com. Good underwires and nursing bras. Controls my 34H norks adequately....

Don't know if you have a "Leia" near you. Am also of the breast feeding "heading south" variety and came out of Leia with some gorgeous well fitting up-lifting bras and....best of all almost a waist!!! (*I did say almost.)
