Tried this morning for the first time. Baby just looked confused and spat it out with tongue. Help!

How old is the baby? If 4 months of over, you might want to try a free flow sippy cup (the tommee tippy ones are good). It can be hard for baby to learn a new kind of sucking at that age. Or try a fast flow teat.

With some babies, learning to take a bottle can be a bit of a battle so do come back with more questions if baby keeps refusing.

Try a different type of bottle? And make sure the milk is warm?

the nuk teats are great ,ive found.latex so softer than silicone and designed very like a breast and nipple effect.boots sell then but u need to buy the bottle to fit it too i tried about 4 diiferent brands of teats before i got the right one. It does take some attempts. Can you try a bit on your breast then the bottle whilst holding her in bf position?

We found DS would absolutely not take a bottle from me, but was fine with everybody else, so I would enlist OH if you can! We found if I was not in the room, was not a prob, but if he could see/smell me he just wanted boobs! We used Tommee Tippee bottles. HTH

DD will have to adapt to a sippy cup in a months time when i go back to work 3 days a week. Ive not tried her yet just expressing a freezer supply. Im planning a morning out to leave her with Dh to feed and settle. It worked woth dd and ds who would take for everyone else but not me. I also found they wouldnt take avent teats.. but would do close to nature. I guess wellam ... do you need to give bottles yet ( work etc) or can you get through a bit further? Babies wont starve generally and will reverse cycle ( feed when you are there) or find a way!

Yay!!! Mission accomplished! Made sure milk was warmish and baby was starving. I'm really chuffed as it means I might get more than 3 consecutive hours sleep. Thanks for all your comments.
