Do you give your baby a bottle in the cot to go to sleep?

Our DD is 11 months and is showing a preference to be given a bottle to drink while going to sleep in the cot. She seems quite happy to lie there drinking her bottle and falling asleep sucking the bottle.

We're not sure if this is a good habit to get into or not. What's your experience? Is it bad for her teeth?

All advice very welcome :)

Very bad for their teeth. Plus you'll have a nightmare situation when it comes to weaning her off the bottle.

Bad habit. Not good for teeth.

no, and i wouldn't either.

you ought to be brushing teeth after the last bottle at night, plus i think i'd worry about choking

Bad for her teeth and bad from a choking potential I'd have thought.

No definately not, very bad for teeth.

awful for teeth
really bad

and you'll have a hell of a job giving up the bottle if you allow it to be her comfort

It's ok for teeth only if it's a bottle of plain water.
