How do I wean ds off the boob? He is almost 2 years old

As much as I have loved breastfeeding, I have now done it for over 3 years in total between ds1 & ds2. Ds 1 weaned himself off it at 14 months but ds2 shows absolutely no signs of stopping! He is now verbal so shouts for 'boobie' much to my embarrassment, & he still likes a wee boob here & there whenever takes his fancy. I feel i'd like to stop soon but don't know how I'll manage it without him screaming the place down for his beloved boobie! Any advice?

One feed at a time. Stop feeding out and about, then change bedtime routine etc.
The last feed (morning in bed) was the hardest to drop, but as it wasn't any trouble I let that one carry on til I was confident he wouldn't mind too much.

My DD is nearly 2.5yrs and still bf, but from about 2yrs I started saying no a bit more and feeds are dropping off. If she asks when we're out I will tell her to wait until we get home, many times she will forget.

I also do distraction, offer other drinks or snacks. Sometimes she asks just because she's a bit bored so I give other attention like playing with her favourite toy, reading a book, singing. And we dropped the bedtime feed by DH doing bedtime, she now accepts me putting her to bed without 'nulk'.

My technique with the other one was to get pg, but possibly a bit drastic Wink
