my lo is almost 12 months (25th may) and he is still currently on 3 bottle feeds a day. but not sure on how to make the transition on to cows milk and when he should be on it fully without formula. any ideas?

You can swap any time from 12 months - he might be happy enough just to do a straight swap, or you could gradually mix cow's milk and formula increasing until it's all cow's milk.

You could try giving cow's milk in a beaker/cup on your lap during the day to start with and see how he takes to that before phasing out the bedtime bottle.

could it affect him any way if we done a straight swap? i think i might swap his afternoon bottle to cows milk. he usually takes 3 or 4oz.

As he had dairy products/cow's milk before? If he has without problem then I'm sure it'll be fine.

he has it every morning with his b/fast and is always fine. i think i will go a head with the a/noon bottle change. thanks

Try mixing formula and cow's milk and gradually increasing the amount of cow's milk/decreasing formula.
