.....and she is still doing it, albeit early days of 4 weeks, but still. She finds it ok, but is trying him on a bottle as well to give her a break in the evening.

She wasn't going to but I said, believe me, never mind the health benefits, you will be so pleased to just pop the baby on your boob instead of heating bottles in the night every 2 hours and she agrees wholeheartedly and is one of only 3 of her parenting group who are.

Well done.

hunkermunker · 09/11/2005 13:17

Brilliant - very nice feeling, isn't it?

milward · 09/11/2005 13:18

Good going oliveoil and your friend. Bf is so handy & saves time in getting organised. I like just being able to go out with ds4 & be able to not think about feeding times. Plus is helping me to lose some of the weight I gained in preg!

oliveoil · 09/11/2005 13:19

It is rather, and I am not one to hammer people on the head with things, but I am so pleased she has done it.

Not that I would have frowned at bottles iykwim.

I also gave her lots of others pearls of wisdom that will not be found in baby books .

Well done OO.
I think I'm the most pro breast feeding bottle feeder in the land.

(and I secretly think that's why my broodiness keeps coming back. I'd love to breast feed my baby but was never able too, so I make everyone else do it)

moondog · 09/11/2005 14:03

Good on yer olive!
Go on then lady! Have another!

notasheep · 09/11/2005 14:27

I not making myself out to be a breastfeeding guru, tbh I couldn't wait to get dd2 off, found it v hard second time round, BUT if someone asks my advice, I will promote it!

Talking of gurus, when is Tiktoc coming back?

LadyTophamHatt · 09/11/2005 14:48

Being a bottle feeder 3times over I know an awful lot about breast feeding...all thanks to MN.

My nips just weren't up to it, it wasn't for the lack of trying

Moondog, even when my broodiness goes away and I'm in one of those stages where another baby fills me with dread, I know I'd always agree to another if Dh suggested it. I'd agree to it in a heartbeat. He never would though, not in amillion years
