she has not had bottles before we have tried a beaker for water but she has not exactly embraces that! but i am going to have to change medications soon when i see the cardiologist as the ones i am on are causing too many side effects and not working as well as they could and they are likely to be unsuitable for breastfeeding aparently. I know i could wait and see but that would mean abrubtly stopping rather than slowly weaning so i think i would prefer to start getting her used to the idea now.

how do you go about it at nine months she will need formula wont she? she has currently 3 milk feeds a day roughly and one at night plus three food meals and a snack or two.

I managed it by finding bottles with teats as close to my nipple size as possible, after a couple of wasted tries with other types of bottle, this seemed to do the trick & yes, she will need formula up to a year old - though you might want to use the follow on type at that age - good luck
