Did a silly thing - expressed some milk this morning for DD (8 months) into a container then promptly forgot about it and only realised 2 hours later. Will it be all right do you think?

Was going to use it for her cereal tomorrow morning but not sure if it's safe now, rats.

I think it keeps for 6 hours out of the fridge, so whack it in now and it should be ok.

This website has details of how long it will keep at different temperatures - www.babycentre.co.uk/baby/breastfeeding/pumpingexpressing/storingbreastmilkexpert/

Thanks Cosmosis - that's good to know. Amazing stuff - can't believe it lasts so long in that case!

Thank you nocake - this is really interesting. Relieved as managed to express a v. impressive amount that would have been terrible to see go to waste!
