blocked milk duct/milk blister?

A couple of weeks ago I had a blocked milk duct (swollen area on breast which turned red, and a white spot on the nipple), but I managed to clear it by feeding with DS's chin towards the blockage. Since then the nipple has still been quite sore, especially when feeding and the white spot is still there. If I try to hand express nothing comes out of the white spot/blocked duct, but I have tried scratching away the skin on top of it, and then I do get a bit of milk out. Is there anything I can do to clear this up properly? I'm not sure if there is dried milk stuck in there but if there is I can't get it out.
Thanks

I had exactly the same 2 days ago. I was worried it was mastitis as boob was getting more sore as the day progressed. I had the White spot also. Went to see emergency gp at midnight who burst the milk blister with a needle. When I got home, I had a hot shower and expressed from that boob. Fed ds from it and boob recovered. I have no more pain. Gp said it could develop into mastitis and gave me antibiotics but I did not need to take them. So, if you have a sterile needle pop the blister or go to gp. If you are getting flu or achey symptoms, it could be developing into mastitis.

Thanks, I'll try to pop it and then feed DS to see if it clears, hope it does, it's no fun feeding from a sore nipple!

I forgot to mention that ds was feeding from that boob for an hour and was still hungry when I took him off due to restricted milk supply. Had not realised at the time that the White spot was stopping the milk.
