Infrequent poo'ing in EBF baby

HI. My gorgeous baby girl is 12 wks old. She has been EBF from birth. To start she poo'd as & when, then for quite a long time it would be once first thing in morning. Very occasionally she would skip a day.
But last wk she went 4 days without poo, we both got bit distressed during that time. Lots of wind preceded the event, which when it came surprisingly wasn't massive, just more concentrated than normal. Great, I thought, blockage gone.
However its now been 7 poo-free days since then. Again plenty of wind but weirdly baby seems less bothered this time even tho its been longer since emptying.

What's going on? Anyone else experienced such poo-famines? Any tips on getting things moving for her? I kno BF babies v efficient at digesting their milk but there should still be some waste I'm sure! Thanks.

There was a thread recently about a baby who didn't poo for 21 days EBF babies often go 10-14 days between poos.

My DDs record was about 12 days , though she regularly went a week between poos. When the final explosion came it was pretty spectacular and almost ruined the car seat (why do they always poo in car seats?)

I think this is quite common. Ds at that age often went 7 days and on one occasion 10... if you're having wind probs then some gentle tummy massage might help? I used to do it just before bed.

Sounds normal, so just me worrying then!

My first daughter was combi-fed breast & formula so back then things were a bit different in this department.

DS1 was a 10 dayer as well, like clockwork I knew what day to take spare clothes with me because his bum would explode.
Was actually very handy that he had such a good routine

She finally went last night!!! Hurrah.

Amazingly she's since been twice today. Like buses, nothing then 3 come at once!
