Milk blisters & manic BF in 14 month old

Two quick questions.

After 3 DC, this week brought me my first milk blister. OWWWWWW! After consulting Kellymom & LLL, I have cleaned & removed it but does anyone have any experience of how long it will take to heal or any advice at all really? oWWWWWW again!

DS1 (DC3) is a 14 mth old BF milk monster, which is lovely & I have no desire to stop at all BUT he is waking 3 or 4 times at night & will not settle for me or DH except by nursing. I'm happy to comfort feed etc but this has been going on for months now & we're both just shattered.

I pretty sure it's teeth-related. Problem is he screams so loudly he wakes the DDs so I am feeding him to avoid a bigger problem, as it were...

Anyone else? What did you do? You'd think I'd know the answers by now but no...

I'll go "OW!" along with you in solidarity, milk blisters hurt a lot! I had a couple when my ds was about 6/7 mo and can't really remember how long it all took to heal over (I self-operated Blush ) But it wasn't too long, maybe 5 days.

As for the shatteredness, I feel for you. Have you thought about night weaning? My ds is now 17mo, and was very similar to how yours sounds at the same age. At 15 mo I decided enough was enough, and I followed Dr Jay Gorden's night weaning method. I was highly sceptical at first, and we had a couple of weeks of broken nights, but it does work! Ds now sleep 8-11 hours at night, which he had NEVER done before! I'm so happy Smile
