firstly - utter sympathy. i had a terrible time of it at 8-9 mo and never thought i'd get that far and then nearly give up! it was all to do with those gnashers!! Smile (if it helps i'm still feeding DD2 at 13 months)

have a look here and here which say everything better than i can.
It DOES pass. very best of luck.. DS will learn it's not the best thing to do to his mummy.
huge sympathy in the meantime, good luck

Thankyou, that's really helpful Smile

Will keep fingers crossed that it passes, as I really don't want to stop feeding yet

Must try not to squeal out "NO!" though Blush

I'm going through the same with my 10 month old - for her it's definitely a case of her doing it at the end of a feed when she's had enough. I watch her like a hawk and try and get her off before she has a chance, when it's obvious she has finished. It's making me really jumpy when I'm feeding her though!!

notnowbernard - just gone 9 months, if you didn't post this I would have. Watching with interest. At the moment I'm planning on combined feeding, but not quite sure what to do about the hard feeling

MummyElk · 26/04/2011 22:14

omg i couldn't NOT squeal NO!!! at all!! ever!! in fact i went to one MN meet up and spent most of it crying because DD2 kept gnawing at me.... Blush

I'm having the same problem, my dc has started biting me at 7 months and its really getting to me. Making me want to stop - but she won't take a bottle so don't think I can :(

i've found an unused squat make up brush and am going to keep in it my nursing bra and go for the tickle approach..i'll let you know..

I feel your pain... My 5 mo has her first tooth coming through and when she fussed she bites! OMG!

I have tried ignoring... That didn't work, tried going 'ouch' - she laughed! So now I take her off and wind her :-s

Good luck
