anyone noticed a change in taste of hipp formula?

Recently the stage 1 hipp formula I have been buying seems to have changed taste completely. It smells really foul, quite rancid, not like it did before. I have bought two other boxes of a different batch which are also horrid. I have emailed hipp who assure me that there has been no change in formulation. Has anyone else noticed a change. Is it OK? I don't really want to give it to my baby as it smells so odd.

They've changed the scoop recently. I've noticed that I think it seems a bit drier and dissolves better. Though it does often have a wiff of old socks especially when you empty the remains of a bottle after a few hours. Aptamil smells even worse. Though if you've got any doubts about the quality of a box I wouldn't use it.

I should add they've changed the scoop because it says something about changing the manufacturing process so I guess the volumes of powder have changed.
