I am in a tizzy over expressed milk

After having a nightmare feeding DD I have been doing really well with DS, now 6 weeks old. Over the last week I have managed to express some milk and would like to try him with a bottle to see if he'll take it.

My question is, if DH feeds him a bottle of ebm, will it affect my supply? I can only express an ounce at a time, and I think DS must be getting more than that.

What do people generally do if they replace a feed with ebm? Do you express instead or just skip a feed?

I would use the missed feed to express and replace your stock :-)

Ditto. I replaced the 10pm feed with a bottle and missed that feed altogether. My milk went right down in the evening and it began to affect the previous 7pm feed too.

I guess all boobs are different(!), but it didn't work for me, and if I had to do it again I'd express over that missed feed. The more days you express for, the more you'll be able to express in one go. Supply and demand...

If you express at the time you would be feeding, isn't it just easier to feed the baby yourself? Maybe that's just me though as I always really struggled with expressing.

Could you express in the morning at the same time as feeding your LO?
