what does it mean if my nipple is tender throughout the day, gets more painful at the beginning of a feed....

Not sure if I should go to the doctors or not, it is not VERY painful, just tender and I am aware of it thorughout the day IYKWIM. I didn't want to take antibiotics if it wasn't necesary if it was going to clear up on it's own? It's nothing to do with latch or teething I don't think, my lo is 15 months old now. I did have a blocked duckt last week which my LO sorted out for me with a good long feed...just wandering if it might be connected to that?

If it was me I'd give a Bfing Counsellor a call before going to the GP, even if she only says go to the GP Smile

It could be nipple thrush. I'd see the GP before it gets worse.
