Nursing dress for wedding

doblet · 13/04/2011 15:41

I have a wedding to go to in a few weeks and the clothing nightmare has just dawned on me. I am breastfeeding my 12 week old so need easy access. I don't want to spend a fortune for a one off wear. Any ideas?

Reshapewhiledamp was also looking for a suitable outfit for a christening recently. I think it was in style and beauty though. I'll have a quick look hang on.

Try MamaNana - I'm planning on getting one of their dresses for a wedding.

gah, can't find it now sorry.

I think this is the thread crikeybadger meant - loads of useful suggestions on it.

crikeybadger · 13/04/2011 18:02

ah thanks ruffles - thought I was going mad for a moment when I couldn't find it!

I couldn't find that thread either, so thank you.
Grrr, I hate shopping at the best of times. Nothing I like ever fits/is affordable, so the nork issue is not helping matters.

Look at mamalicious on Asos I just got a black riches jersey nursing dress for £9 in their sale
be warned tho sizes run small!

I've been to three weddings and two christenings while BFing, and have worn a posh dress I bought at BHS which has straps and a cross-over bodice. I got a shawl to match and just push down the relevant shoulder strap, using the shawl to keep myself decent.

Anything that has that kind of bodice would work the same. My dress is no longer on sale but it looks like they have a number of similar options atm:

www.feedingfashion.com has some beautiful summer breastfeeding dresses that are perfect for a wedding or Christening but not sure how much time you have left...
