Pain in one breast after 8m EBF

Was wondering if anyone had any ideas. DD has been EBF since birth and we started BLW two months ago. It was going well until a month ago when we went on holiday for a fortnight, where she pretty much refused anything but BM. Since we've been back we've had the odd meal where she's eaten everything in sight but otherwise she's just not that interested (although she had a bit of a bug last week which probably hasn't helped). Anyway (just mentioned all of that in case it was relevant), for the last day or so I've been getting pains in one breast: not thrush pains (I had thrush when she was a month or so old), more like a heat that comes and goes. I feel fine otherwise though. I didn't have this pain on holiday when I was feeding every few hours: she's now feeding maybe 5/6 times a day and then 3/4 times overnight.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm worried it might be the beginnings of mastitis..

Thanks

I'm sure someone more expert will be along, but I've had mastitis a few times. Each time one segment of the breast was quite tender to touch. Also if you look in the mirror you can see the infected part can be slightly red. Don't leave it too long. It can get quite nasty if you don't have it seen to.

It could be a blocked duct, which is the forerunner to mastitis developing? Lots of hot compresses on affected boob and changing feeding positions can help. If you start to get a temperature go straight to docs for antibiotics
