can someone please link me to the official guidelines regarding giving water to an eff baby. If I remember correctly, unless you are in an extremely hot country, official advice is to not give water?

Thank you

I think the guidelines are that an ebf baby does not need additional water if they are fed on demand.

Think HVs recommend starting to give water as a drink in a sippy cup when you start weaning.

Ye, breastfed babies don't need water because they quench their thirst with foremilk and are fed on demand. Formula fed babies can be offered cooled boiled water in hot weather.
