not as a drink, no. but you can use it in food.

diva4mgl · 27/10/2005 18:30

they shouldn't have it as a main drink.. but it's ok to use in cooking (sauces etc) and in yoghurt and things

Seona1973 · 27/10/2005 19:50

I wouldnt use cows milk at this age as the main drink as it is low in iron and the main vitamins your lo needs. Have you tried a different formula to see if its the flavour thats the problem?

p.s. from 6 months full fat cows milk can be used with cereal, in foods e.g. mixed with mashed potato, in cooking e.g. cheese sauce, custard, etc but shouldnt be used as a main drink. (and you dont have to boil it at all!!)

Gobbledispook · 27/10/2005 19:57

You can use it on his cereal and if you were cooking something, e.g. cheese sauce for cauliflower cheese. It should not be given as his main milk feeds though as it doesn't contain enough of the nutrients he needs.

No need to boil it.

seona1973,

If she's been off milk for three weeks and is sick if you give it to her, I would take her to the doctor.

NotQuiteCockney · 27/10/2005 20:13

Hunker's right (as usual!) ... this might be an allergy or another sort of bug. If milk is bugging her, milk isn't the answer! She might need non-dairy formula - but you need to talk to a professional.

diva4mgl · 27/10/2005 20:49

i have been to city general hospital, they said offer her milk as normal she had bad chesty cold so they explian it with cold.
i had enough of hearing it, thats why im looking for some different milk or formula, im sure its milk makes her sick. she completely hates it, as i said before she would not have baby rice or any mix food with formula milk(sma gold)
we tried all sma formulas and she just won`t have it, i tried force her i gave her when she sleep but she brings it out anyway.
i really need help?

it seems strange that5 she would suddenly develop an allergy to something she has been having for 6 months though!
would definitely go back to the GP and ask again though

hunkerpumpkin · 27/10/2005 21:05

Something's not right if milk's making her sick still - definitely go back to your GP.

Food intolerances can occur quite suddenly, I think.

startingtobehalloweenylover · 27/10/2005 21:06

have you changed it a lot recently?

just thinking that maybe the cold was making her sick and she may be ok with her original formula now.

but if you have been swapping them qutie frequently then that might have been making her sick?

compo · 27/10/2005 21:09

Have you tried other formulas like Aptimil etc? What does your health visitor say?

diva4mgl · 27/10/2005 21:17

i only tried little cartoon pf aptimil 2 weeks ago, she brought that out, so tried sma progress. we tried sma white when she was 3m and she didnt like it. i wonder if its the taste of formula tbh they tastes not very nice to me. darent ttry diff milk cause when she goes sick its scary vomitting everything in the lil tummy

madmarchscare · 27/10/2005 21:19

startingtobehalloweenylover · 27/10/2005 21:25
