My 6.5 month old DD is EBF and I've always demand fed Hmm ! She isn't interested in her 7am feed as at night has a huge feed at 6.30pm, a dream feed at 11pm and a night feed at 3am ish. When I try and feed her a 7am she isn't interested at all which then leads to me giving her small feeds all day long.

We have started solids and these last few days she has been taking quite a bit at meal times.

WWYD? Should I try and drop the 3am feed? Or stop dream feeding her?....ooo a stretch of sleep would be nice Wink

Presumably she wakes for a feed at 3am? I'd drop the dreamfeed and see what she does.

I'm going through a similar experience with my 6 month old. She only has short feeds during the day which makes me worry she's not getting enough milk!

If you'd like your DD to nurse more during the day. how about just giving her one small meal a day. Was looking at Kellymom for advice and from 6 -7 months that's what they recommend!

Another thing, I reckon my LO is just more interested in her surroundings and would much rather be playing! Was trying to feed her in a busy cafe yesterday. She just kept exposing my boob coming off and on every time someone walked past.

Oh I miss the days of having a baby hanging off my boob!
