Hi

My DS is 7 months, started him on solids just before he turned 6 months. He is an ok eater, doesnt eat too much but not too bad either.he has around 2 meals a day,am slowly going to increase that to 3.The problem is ,he doesnt seem interested in BF at all, only when is half awake or just after a nap.He has on an average around 4-5 feeds in 24 hours, thats all.He seems very disninterested in Bfg when he is awake,.He is a very active little fella, already crawling and walking while holding on to furniture!!!but this is worrying me as he really seems ready to stop BF whereas i want to continue as long as possible has anybody else had any experience of this or know y this could be happening?...plz help...

4-5 feeds is what he should having so I wouldn't worry there. And if he's quick, you obviously have a good source of milk and he has a food latch :)

Is he feeding at regular times? He may of just got himself into a routine without you realising.

4-5 feeds is ok. I am sure he doesn't want to stop, he is far too young to self wean, he is just very interested in his little world right now!

Mine is similar (also 7 months) - 4-5 breastfeeds in the day and a 150ml of formula at night. They need breastmilk til at least 12 months so he's not ready to stop yet.
